It has been so long since I have posted a blog! Three weeks to be exact! I have good reasons however. I have taken an unexpected break from blogging projects and it has been a restful time. I went on vacation, spent time with friends and family, and took a little time to relax. I truly enjoy blogging and have missed sharing my blog during this time but I think sometimes it is important to take a little step back and recharge your batteries so you can keep living your life to the fullest. It is times like this that I am so thankful for friends in the photography community because they are an amazing support system to have when you are running low on energy or creativity in your business. Last month I had the opportunity to gather together with some sweet friends and snap some shots of a staged formal dinner as well as take some headshots for each other...this is how the event became known as Snap & Gather. We had the best time getting together and catching up on each others lives and businesses. It was so exciting to hear how we are all growing and seeing how we can expand on our passions in life. Once in a while it is important to take a time out of your busy schedule to find a way to get your energy levels back up. For us that means capturing details of a beautiful dinner and then enjoying that dinner with sweet friends.
Thank you to Madison House Designs for provising the gorgeous flowers for our event. Also a major shout out to Susie Marie Photography and Elizabeth Conley Studios for hosting this fun relaxing night for all of us! Finally thank you to the Rising Tide Society for developing the idea of "Community Over Competition" and opening the door to build lasting relationships with other creatives in the area.
