One of my favorite things to do is get together and talk with other aspiring photographers. That's how I got to know Amanda initially. We work in the same office and one of the first things we connected over was our mutual love of photography. I have asked Amanda previously if she and her fiancé, Tim, would ever be willing to pose for me when scouting new locations. They were both more than happy to help me out.
Last week we got together so I could explore Goodale park; just off of the Short North in Columbus. The day started off with a lot of rain but God cleared out the skies for us and we had the most perfect weather or you could ask for! Amanda and Tim are a little under three weeks away from their wedding day, June 9th, so this was a great way to warm them up for a day of photos. I made one more request for the evening; I knew that Amanda had this beautiful blush tulle skirt so I asked if she be willing to wear it for the session. It wasn't hard to convince her that it would be a good choice.
These two have such a sweet love and a great foundation in the Lord and friendship. They actually began as best friends and then the relationship blossomed over a year later. One of their go to dates was to spend time in Barnes and Noble so that is exactly where Tim decided to propose. I love that! With my love of books I definitely find a book store proposal romantic!
I felt like I already knew Tim when I met him even though this was our first meeting. He is such a nice guy and a total goofball. He would crack jokes and start off posing how I asked Amanda to pose. He even reenacted Titanic "I'm flying Jack", at one point LOL He and Amanda compliment each other so well and I know they are going to have a long happy life together. I could not be more excited for them and their upcoming wedding and I appreciate their help and exploring a new location with me.
