What a joy it is to share my beautiful cousin and her handsome husband on the Blog this morning! The fact that I get to work with my family from time to time always makes my heart happy but to get to capture family on the biggest day of their life; that is an extra level of special!

Jessica and Douglas were married on the September 1st and I will marry Evan on the 29th! So this has been wedding month for our family! My second shooter Amanda, from Amanda Eloise Photography, and I truly loved everything about Jessica and Douglas‘s wedding day. We loved that they had a gorgeous ceremony by the dock, tiger lilies everywhere, a canoe filled with drinks, and just beautiful landscape everywhere you looked. We had so much fun sneaking the new Mr. and Mrs. away for a few photos of their own.

Jessica and Douglas are so in love and have waited for this day for a long time. The wait did not disappoint anyone! Jessica couldn’t hold back her tears of joy during their vows while Douglas couldn’t stop smiling anytime his bride was around! During the ceremony I don’t know what was cuter… Jessica‘s niece, Scottlyn, making her funny faces to keep her self entertained, or Jessica and Douglas’ puppy acting as an honorary groomsman. Henry, their puppy, sat so still and actually paid attention to the ceremony. It was too sweet! Words cannot describe how much joy it brought me to capture this day for them and I am so happy to share their photos on the blog today!
