Happy Monday friends! Get nice and comfy because this blog is a bit longer full of exciting information! This is truly a happy day for me because today is the day I get to share the my new brand with YOU! If you have been following me within the past 18 months you'll recognize that my website has had a significant make over. Don't get me wrong, I was proud of my previous website and brand because I built it from scratch. I did not have a great idea about what I was doing and that was ok because at least I was putting myself out there. However, I have been blown away with the blessings God has brought my way with this business and looking back I can see how much Lauren Melanne Photography has truly grown. I felt like now was the right time to give my website the look and feel I wanted it to have when I originally launched. The problem was that I still had NO CLUE how get my vision from my head to the screen; but I knew who did!
I called on my friend Susie from Susie Marie Photography for her help. I originally met Susie through the Rising Tide Society community when she hosted a stylized shoot at her home last year. Not only is Susie a kind, sweet, and talented photographer; she also takes on a few clients a year to help them rebrand their business. Susie has done thorough research on what makes an effective website and how to develop it to properly compliment the business it represents. I knew Susie could help me make my vision a reality. The entire process was a joy! We talked about what I liked about my previous site, my style, and my hopes for what this business could grow to be. However, Susie's main focus was understanding my WHY. Why did I decide to start my own photography business? For me it all comes down to one simple fact: I love people!
I do love photography and feel blessed to have found my passion for it. However this business is so much more than that for me. I love the opportunities I have to work with my clients and to invest in them. I don't want to just take their picture. I want to hear their story. What is the story behind the photos? What special time in their life are they preserving forever? If I am working with a senior on their portraits then I want to hear about their high school memories and their exciting plans for the future. If it is a couple then I want to hear their love story. With family sessions I know I will hear multiple stories full of sweet memories. I want to capture these special times in my clients lives and be excited right along with them. Also I love that all of my clients are unique. They all have a different story and that excites me! I want to give them the fun and unique experience they deserve. This new site is all about showcasing the wonderful people I get to work with and sharing their stories.
