I have lived in a small town my entire life. No matter where I've moved to I never lived near the city. The thought of going into Columbus used to make me so nervous because of how busy it seemed to be. However, this past year you can't keep me out of Columbus! I love exploring new areas of the city and all the hidden gems that it has to offer. When Brittany and I started discussing where to take photos with her fiancé Josh she said she would love a mix of the city and country because it reflected the two of them. Thanks to my new found love for the city I instantly knew the spots I wanted to take them. I met Brittany and Josh in downtown Columbus and we walked around the Scioto Mile, then we made our way into German Village, and ended at the Hoover Dam during the golden hour. By the way, before we headed to our final destination Brittany and Josh had their FIRST Jeni's Ice Cream experience in German Village. "You're welcome you two!" ;)
I have to say these two are troopers because not only did they let me drag them all over Columbus but it also happened to be one of the hottest days of the summer so far! They never complained, in fact they were all smiles the entire time. I loved getting to know them better as individuals and as a couple. They did a great job of matching their outfits to their personalities. Josh is laid back and casual and Brittany's sweet and sparkling personality was clear to see. My favorite accessory of hers had to be the flower crown she wore at then end of our session. She didn't even know I have a current obsession with flower crowns. Their wedding will be in August of next year and it is kind of killing me that we have a year before their wedding because I am so excited to celebrate with them. If I am this excited I can only imagine how they feel! Enjoy some of my favorites from my time with them around the city!
